Chicago,
Chicago, that toddlin' town |
12/02 CHICAGO: My Kind of Toddlin' Town Chicago—the name conjures up images of gray skyscraper canyons funneling the bitter wind blowing off Lake Michigan. What could possibly be appealing about this place, especially in December? Turns out, my concept of Chicago seriously needed a reality check. Traveling with Robert to visit his relatives, I was unprepared for what we found there: an abundance of music, art, architecture, food, friendliness, and holiday spirit with more to see and experience than we could accomplish in five months, let alone five days.
Icy Chicago Skyline: View from the bridge in Lincoln Park Between enjoyable bouts of quality time with the family, we ventured out onto the icy streets to see what this "Toddlin' Town" had to offer. Enjoy our holiday-themed discoveries, scrumptious food reviews, and a look at the city's world-class Art Institute, learn a little about Chicago's amazing architecture, sample a few musical offerings and make note of some of this city's "best buys" for visitors of all ages.
