of friendship.

Continuing down the trail, we encountered
a lively family of vacationing Italians: Caterina,
her husband Massimo, their child, and Massimo's parents--three
generations enjoying the company of each other and the magical
views.
Despite a bit of a language barrier,
we all introduced ourselves, and we ended up talking and laughing
together with our new friends as we walked.
We shared what we could, taking
pictures of each other, and exchanging contact information
(Caterina and I still keep up an email correspondence, looking
forward to the day when we will see each other again).
