As luck would have it, my visit coincided with the Chamber Music Festival, and it was my great fortune to be able to take the special "Music Through the Ages" tour of the castle. The tour wound its way through the castle, led by guides in period costumes to rooms where groups of musicians (and sometimes dancers) performed. The historical music and costumes in a matchless setting of antique furnishings were a treat to savored.
