Arboreal avenue, Les Jardins des Plantes, Paris, France. For me, nothing trumps the majesty of a long, tree-lined avenue. To my delight, I found that Paris is full of them. This lovely example comes from the Botanical Garden in the heart of Paris. There is no charge for admission, and the park includes a fine natural history museum, a zoo, hothouses and exhibition halls.
