Home away from home, Hallstatt, Austria. Rick Steves says "the staff won’t win any awards for congeniality" but this is one of the few occasions when I have to disagree with Mr. Steves.

Pension Seethaler has character, but its beds are cozy, the views unbeatable, the breakfast substantial, and the staff was warm and welcoming.
