Escape, Versailles, France. What an experience, to explore the playground of a Queen!

Marie-Antoinette commissioned this fantasy, complete with a family to care for the cows, goats, and poultry to supply the queen with eggs, butter, cream and cheese.

Even today, this place seems well-suited to its original purpose, as a place to escape the crowds at the main palace. The good long walk keeps many tourists from visiting here, maintaining a delightful air of tranquility.
